Preparing CAD Print Files
For large format CAD printing, we have multiple ways that you can send us your files. RPG accepts the same type of plot or print files as most Reprographic companies around the country. These files can be created out of many different software packages including AutoCAD, Microstation and others, by plotting to a file using a HPGL driver or configuring your system to plot to an HP750C plotter. We also accept raster or scanned files such as TIFF or CALS files. Lately there has also been some file formats being used in our industry such as Adobe Acrobat PDF, AutoCAD DWF and others. We also accept these files. If you need help configuring your system to create these types of files feel free to contact us for more information.
Below is a list of common file types that we are able to accept:
- Plot files using an HP750C driver
- Raster files such as TIFF, CALS or VIC
- Adobe Acrobat PDF
- AutoCAD DWF
- AutoCAD DWG (note: we recommend that you create one of the above print files)
Once you have created your print files you can transfer those files to RPG.
